2010-2011 – “Made for Taste” arrives in Finland

Within the European program “Made For Taste” realized side by side with the Italian Association of Wine in 2010-11, Finland hosted a series of activities to promote PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) deli meat products and wines, often aligned with classical pairings following the traditional tasting rules and the valorisation of territorial aspects according to the origin of each product. Meetings with journalists were organized in Helsinki and courses on PDO and PGI deli meat products and wines were offered in schools and universities in different Finnish schools (beyond the capital also in Rovaniemi, Turku and Imatra). In May 2011 three days of appointments were planned: on occasion of the event “Let´s talk about wine” Helsinki hosted two main events at the Gourmet Palace and one at the central plaza Narinkkatori with a tasting day of Italian deli meats and wines accessible for the public and private consumers.
